New layout progress

At last - new benchwork completed which works great. The 4 foot height really enhances visibility of details Track laid and trains running

I discovered that freeware layout designer program SCARM. Although Tri-ang Super 4 is not included in the library, the Hornby OO track library provides equivalents to build the super 4 layout. I have had to build the Minic Motorways objects manually which can be included in the layout plan. So far so good.

Layout re-invention

Having been utilising the old 8x4, it's limitation on size for building Minic road and rail has become apparent. As as a result I have embarked on building an around the room layout to put as much layout space as possible into the train room. Somewhat unconventional for Tri-ang layouts but the extra space allows for longer trains and good interaction with Minic Motorways items. Currently relocating all the goodies from the train room to make room for bench work to start.

Time to get posting.

It's been a while since last posting so it's time to update. The Tri-ang collection is slowly growing with a number of new items for the layout including some nice R257 panto locos.

The Beginning

My interests in Tri-ang started many years ago in my childhood. After a lengthy departure from the hobby in my middle years, I have now rekindled my love of Tri-ang and began seriously building a collection over the past 2 years. There is something special about the items in the red and yellow boxes that only true Tri-ang collectors know and appreciate.
